Mendocino Village & Big River Beach

Despite its small size, Mendocino's scenic location on a headland surrounded by the Pacific Ocean has made it extremely popular as an artist colony and with vacationers. It is 3 hours North of San Francisco on the redwood coast of California. It is a favorite vacation spot of residents of the San Francisco Bay area.
Mendocino was founded in 1850 as a logging community and many of the town's early settlers were New Englanders.
This panorama photo was made using 7 separate vertical exposures that we "stitched" together side by side to get a very high resolution final image.
