This photo was taken on a tour of the Long House and shows several Kivas up close. Mesa Verde National Park is a wonderful place to spend a few days exploring and imagining what life was like for the ancestral cliff dwellers (Anasazi) from 800 to 1000 years ago.
It is in Colorado very near the Utah border and just a couple of hours away from Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. What a great and very unique experience.
You'll see that in our two weeks in the area visiting these parks we enjoyed varied and often dramatic clouds.
