This photo is of Lake Maligne and the surrounding mountains in the Jasper National Park. Lake Maligne is about 30 miles from the town of Jasper which is at the North end of the Icefields Parkway. It is famed for the color of its water, the surrounding peaks and the three glaciers visible from the lake. It is 14 miles long and more than 300 feet deep at its deepest point.
