This high resolution photo was taken in the Canadian Rockies along the Icefields Parkway. It shows the remarkable geology of the Canadian Rocky Mountains including a glimpse of a glacier, the runoff water fall and fall color of September. This area between Banff and Jaspar along the Icefield Parkway is among the most beautiful and nature inspiring places on our planet.
Our two weeks in the area also presented dramatic clouds yet there was ample sun to offer rich color to the mountains and trees.
