This high resolution photo was taken in the Canadian Rockies along the Icefield Parkway. Bow lake and Crowfoot Glacier along with the remarkable geology of the Canadian Rocky Mountains are the subject of the photo. This area between Banff and Jaspar along the Icefield Parkway is among the most beautiful and nature inspiring places on our planet.
Our two weeks in the area was in September so it was chilly and the sky presented dramatic clouds but there was ample sun to offer rich color to the mountains and trees.
