This panorama was photographed at Canyonlands National Park in Utah. In 1964 legislation created this National Park to preserve its countless canyons, mesas, and buttes that were created over millennia by the Colorado and Green Rivers. These rivers and their tributaries still run through this pristine area and can be seen from many locations around the park.
Our panorama photos are made using 4 to 5 separate vertical exposures that we "stitch" together side by side to get a very high resolution final image.
Arches National Park, just a few miles away, is another "must experience" national park if you're in the area!. Also, just a two hour drive to the East will take you to Mesa Verde National Park, the home of the 800 to 1000 year old Ancestral Cliff Dwellings (formerly know as Anasazi Cliff Dwellings).
The atmosphere was very disturbed and turbulent during our time in this area so most of our photos display varied and dramatic cloud formations
