This panorama was photographed at Canyonlands National Park in Utah. Canyonlands is an amazing Grand Canyon-like setting of eroded bluffs and other beautiful rock formations. The Green and Colorado rivers still run through this pristine area and can be seen from many locations around the park.
The park is divided into four districts - the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze, and the combined rivers which, over the centuries, have carved two large canyons into the Colorado Plateau. While these areas share a primitive desert atmosphere, each retains its own character.
Our panorama photo was made using four separate vertical exposures that we "stitch" together side by side to get a very high resolution final image.
