Constellation Andromeda

Kodak Pro 400 PPF - 6 x 7 cm medium format camera w/ 90mm lens

Andromeda is named for the Greek mythological character - the daughter of Cassiopeia. The constellation Andromeda is most prominent during autumn evenings in the Northern Hemisphere

This photo of the constellation Andromeda shows the main "naked eye" stars that make up the shape of "The Chained Princess - Daughter of Cassiopeia" - enlarged in their true color. This is a natural photographic technique with the various effects created during a single exposure of the film. It also reveals deep detail in this region of the sky including the Andromeda Galaxy (center top) & Galaxy M33 (center bottom).
